“Deploying Nexaro NR 1700 across Greenford Quay has allowed us to standardise corridor cleaning at scale while maintaining service quality in a luxury residential environment. The structured rotation model and performance visibility provide consistency across multiple buildings while enabling our teams to focus on detailed and resident-facing tasks.”
— Thomas Collins, Divisional Manager, Samsic
Samsic deployed nine Nexaro NR 1700 autonomous vacuum robots at Greenford Quay, West London, to support structured corridor cleaning across three luxury residential buildings.
The estate comprises 32 mixed-surface corridor floors (carpet and hard flooring), requiring consistent and discreet daily presentation standards within a premium living environment. Corridors experience regular resident foot traffic, deliveries and operational movement, making systematic cleaning essential to maintaining overall estate quality.
The Challenge
Manually vacuuming extended residential corridors is physically demanding and inherently difficult to standardise. Long, open stretches across multiple floors create variability in coverage, particularly when cleaning schedules are under time pressure.
Achieving repeatable, verifiable results across three buildings required a more structured and reliable approach.
- Maintain reliable cleaning standards across 32 mixed-surface corridor floors
- Address the operational difficulty of vacuuming long, open corridors using corded equipment
- Reduce repetitive and physically demanding vacuuming tasks
- Minimise disruption to residents
- Introduce measurable and transparent cleaning performance
“This deployment demonstrates how autonomous cleaning is evolving into structured, estate-wide implementation. Greenford Quay shows how robotics can standardise repetitive tasks at scale while delivering measurable performance visibility in modern residential environments.”
— Dr. Henning Hayn, General Manager, Nexaro
The Solution
Nine Nexaro NR 1700 units were deployed using a structured drop-and-go operating model, following a predefined five-day floor rotation plan.
Robots operate Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 15:00, when many residents are away, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining systematic coverage across all buildings.
The NR 1700’s combination brush enables effective vacuuming across both carpet and hard flooring surfaces, supporting consistent performance throughout the mixed-surface environment.
All cleaning runs are digitally recorded via Nexaro HUB, providing full transparency and verifiable performance reporting across the estate.
The Results
- Over 298,000 m² of corridor area scheduled annually
- More than 84 miles of autonomous corridor coverage per year
- 260 structured robotic cleaning cycles
- Standardised cleaning performance across three residential buildings
- Full digital visibility of corridor cleaning activity
Beyond measurable coverage, the deployment delivers consistent, repeatable cleaning standards across a complex multi-building estate while reducing repetitive manual vacuuming demands on the on-site team.
