Zweifache Auszeichnung für Nexaro: B2B Saugroboter Nexaro NR 1500 mit Red Dot Design Award und Nexaro HUB mit German Innovation Award prämiert

Wuppertal, May 2024 – Nexaro’s cobotic system solution is designed to revolutionize commercial building cleaning. Consisting of the Nexaro NR 1500 autonomous robot vacuum cleaner and the Nexaro HUB control software, both innovations from the Wuppertal start-up were honored this time around: the Nexaro NR 1500, which was recently granted the GS seal by TÜV-Süd, won the prestigious Red Dot Award 2024 in the Product Design category. The Nexaro HUB was awarded the German Innovation Award in the category Excellence in Business to Business: Information Technologies | Industry Specific and Service Software.

"We are more than thrilled to have received two awards. This kind of recognition shows that Nexaro, with its highly innovative cobotic system solution, is not only a driving force in the cleaning industry, but can also be considered a long-term, reliable and powerful partner for cleaning companies in general. Our robot vacuum cleaner receiving the internationally recognized Red Dot Award confirms that in addition to functionality, design also plays an important role. We are also very pleased to have received the German Innovation Award for our innovative software solution, the Nexaro HUB. This shows the importance of user-friendliness and maximum flexibility in new industry solutions," explains Dr. Henning Hayn, General Manager of Nexaro.

"Our products represent a holistic solution that meets the profitable requirements of the industry as well as safety and quality standards, all while providing valuable and reliable support for cleaning specialists. This also includes the visual integration of the robot into its cleaning environment – in this case, it is the first of its kind in the compact class."

These features and advantages also convinced the renowned jury members of the Red Dot Design Award and German Innovation Award. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. It looks back on a history spanning almost 70 years: in 1955, a jury met for the first time to evaluate the best designs of the time. The coveted "Red Dot" award has since become the highly respected international seal for outstanding design. The German Innovation Award also recognizes products, technology and services that break new, innovative ground and offer solutions that stand out for their positive contribution to users and the environment.

About the Red Dot Design Award

Every year, the renowned Red Dot Award: Product Design honors products that impress with their exceptionally high-quality design. Who the recipients of the award are is determined by the Red Dot jury. In 2024, the Red Dot jury was made up of 39 experts from 20 countries across four continents. Submissions came from 60 countries. Submissions are evaluated based on the four basic principles of good design: function, attraction, use and responsibility.

The cobotic approach

Nexaro's holistic cobotic system solution, consisting of the Nexaro NR 1500 autonomous robot vacuum cleaner and the corresponding Nexaro HUB control software, represents true collaboration between humans and the latest, autonomous robot technology. The decisive factor for this approach is the increase in efficiency and quality while reducing costs at the same time. The flexible use of robot vacuum cleaners significantly reduces the burden on cleaning staff in their everyday work. This is achieved by eliminating the particularly strenuous dry cleaning of floors and work during off-peak times – especially at night. This will also upgrade the professional profile of a cleaning specialist. The Nexaro NR 1500 is the world's first compact robot vacuum cleaner to meet the latest IEC 63327 international safety standard for commercial cleaning robots. This was recently tested and confirmed by the independent testing center TÜV Süd. Moreover, the Nexaro NR 1500 has been awarded the right to bear the renowned GS test mark from TÜV-SÜD.
